Real Estate (509) 625-6700
The City of Spokane Real Estate Program provides right of way and easement acquisition, general property acquisition, surplus property sales, property management, and manages a database of nearly 1,600 properties owned by the City of Spokane.
Of the 1,600 City of Spokane properties, approximately 900 are owned by the City Parks Department. The remaining properties are owned by a variety of departments for specific facilities (water towers, pump stations, public buildings, fire stations, etc.) for a variety of purposes. Throughout the year City staff reviews the database of City properties searching for properties that are no longer necessary and can be surplussed.
“Surplus Property” is City of Spokane owned property that has been reviewed by City staff and deemed unnecessary for future City needs. Once a property is reviewed by staff and declared surplus by the City Council.
